Course Three in the Back to Basics Series

In online education there are two key elements participants need to be aware of. The first element is how to be a digital citizen, which means understanding how to interact with the content and the participants in an acceptable manner. Secondly is academic integrity, which means being an honest participant and understanding how to avoid situations like plagiarism. There are numerous Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 technologies that create digital footprints and track each "click" or each "action" of a participant, so it is critical that each participant understands how to be engaged in the digital world in a responsible manner.
